Boxing.

Last Friday, while my computer was in the beginning throes of possession by the demons of Microsoft, I got a box. I was mildly curious but not overly so. We get boxes pretty regularly here. Usually not for me but I get to answer the "beep" of the USPS carrier or the UPS driver. They pull up and honk their horn, the dog starts barking like a maniac, and I throw on muck boots and head down to accept whatever they've brought.

But when I got this one, I was surprised. It was from Arby and family. That made it interesting because of the size of the box. I knew I had won a necklace and earrings set for having won his contest. But the set would fit into a padded mailer envelope. A good-sized box wasn't necessary.
But it IS Arby so there's just no telling with him....
So I opened it to this:

And then there was this:
Say what?
Yes, the jewelry set was in there:
It's gone to my 20-yr old who wears jewelry.
And the ornament was in there.
And there was this:
Which we've started using.
And then there was this:

Yes, THE wreath. It's a bit misshapen. It has some bright new mints and some not-so-bright, not-so-new mints. But it's here now. And Arby, you may want to start sleeping with one eye open. I'm just sayin'....
.......................................................................................................................................................................
And I couldn't find boxes to mail out my packages. So, being the spoiled woman that I am, I took it to our post office. Our little one-person post office. Because the postmaster/mistress there is Ms. Jewel. And she's aptly named. She IS a jewel. You get the kind of service there that you could only dream of.
Seriously!
I took my big bag of stuff. I laid it out on the counter. And said I needed to mail it. She did everything else.
Well, she DID make me fill out the address labels....
I love you, Ms. Jewel!

Life can be lots of fun if we want it.

I found it! I found it! The wreath is in the sixth picture!

Get used to comments like that.

There's an entire legion of Pavlovian bloggers who will immediately search each and every picture you post on your blog, hoping to find the wreath before anyone else.

I must say...it looks very good on YOUR blog.

I know you don't do awards, but as I told Arby, my admiration is endless--I left you another award. :)

What fun!

I'm looking forward to my package any day now!

Y'know I might be tempted to run my own contest. Of course I have very few readers - but maybe that will tempt a few people over?

I'm sorry.....soooo sorry for starting all of this. =( Look at the bright side of this: I think your kids will probably NOT eat any of the candy, and therefore you won't have to replace it for YOUR contest.

I got my package and it is awesome! My husband LOVES moon pies. It's so funny he took a moon pie and RC to work and said he was going to see if he got any redneck comments, haha. Thank you so much!
